Handler started her career by being a part of the only female Oxygen team, and featured in a tv show named Girls Behaving Badly. The series was famous for its hidden camera and the practical joke. It ran from 2002 to2005. The handler appeared in numerous shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was hired on The Tonight Show as a correspondent. Handler got her most famous break in 2006, when she was named host on E! known as The Chelsea Handler show. The show lasted 2 seasons. Handler appeared on Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following season across the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO broadcast her stand-up shows. The announcement was made in 2010 that she would host the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. This made her only the second female to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
